DirAP Family Met in Singapore
What are the important elements for ICT development in the Asia Pacific region? How can the public and private sector contribute towards ICT development? What are the legal aspects of ICT? What are the emerging trends? To answer all these questions and more, some 50 ICT experts from more than 30 countries in the region came together in Singapore to brainstorm and network. The result will be acomprehensive Digital Review of Asia Pacific (DirAP) 2009/2010 which is expected to be released early 2009. This 2009/2010 edition will include 31 updated country reports, chapters on ASEAN, APEC and SAARC, as well as two overview chapters – one on emerging technologies and their relationships to markets and communities, and the other, on regulatory approaches to ICT and best practices. Moreover, its overall theme is ICT and education. DirAP harnesses the intellectual contribution of a sizable community of policymakers, practitioners and researchers from a multitude of disciplines from most of developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region while trying to reach a global audience. |
