The Department of Information Technology has recently released new statistics contained in its recently completed "E-readiness study":
•  International voice circuits: 154
•  International data bandwidth: 2.640 Mbps
•  National teledensity: 2.86%
•  Rural teledensity: 1.39%
•  Cable television penetration: 1.4%
•  National radio penetration: 90% of all homes
•  Per capita Internet diffusion: 0.71%
