Construction of China's commerce database begun

China International Electronic Commerce Center initiated in May a project to expand the capacity of its database platform. It involves five companies: China HP, Beijing Oracle Software Systems, Hitachi Data Systems, Digital China and Nikoyo (Beijing). The project aims to establish a 40 Tb dynamic database that promises to be the most authoritative database on commerce in the country. (xinhuanews)
