Haque is a US-educated engineer and an ICT entrepreneur with a background in computer
science and satellite and terrestrial communications engineering. He established
PraDeshtaNet, which was instrumental in connecting Bangladesh to the Internet
in 1993. He is presently involved in the development of a new architecture for
a broadband multi-service wireless/wired network. His career over the past 17
years has been in ICT focusing on data communication. He has worked on projects
in the USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Samudra has led small teams of engineers
to design, develop and operate satellite, microwave and DSL telecommunications
